Rajendra Pawar has been appointed as the Director (Human Resources) of Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) through a direct recruitment process.

          Mr. Pawar brings with him 36 years of extensive experience in the service of MSEDCL. A native of Bhaur (Taluka Deola, District Nashik), he holds a degree in Electrical Engineering with distinction from the Government College of Engineering, Pune (COEP). He began his career in 1989 as a Junior Engineer at Vashi (Taluka Pen) with the then Maharashtra State Electricity Board. Over the years, he climbed the ranks, serving as Assistant Engineer and Deputy Executive Engineer. In 2011, he was appointed as an Executive Engineer through a direct recruitment process.

          Throughout his distinguished career, Mr. Pawar has served in various locations, including Pen, Kalwan, Nashik, Panvel, and Kalyan, and held the position of Superintendent Engineer in Nagpur and Pune. For the past two and a quarter years, he has been serving as the Chief Engineer of the Pune Zone.

          In his previous roles, Mr. Pawar demonstrated exemplary leadership in people-oriented administration, customer service, and human resource management. As Chief Engineer of Pune Zone, he spearheaded remarkable achievements in revenue growth, new electricity connections, and rooftop solar project installations. He also gave significant momentum to employee training programs, workshops, motivational initiatives, and the compassionate recruitment process for dependents of employees. Under his leadership, the Pune Small Training Center was ranked first in the state for three consecutive years.

          Mr. Pawar has also led disaster management efforts on the ground during major crises, including the Mumbai floods, Cyclones ‘Tauktae’ and ‘Nisarga’ in Pune, and the COVID-19 pandemic.
