Dr. Murhari Sopanrao Kele recently took over the charge of Director (Commercial) of Mahavitaran. He has been selected for this post through direct recruitment process. Prior to this he was working in Mahavitran as Chief Engineer (Billing & Revenue).

                  Known as an expert and analyst in the field of power distribution, Dr. Kale is originally a resident of Osmanabad district. He joined Maharashtra State Electricity Board as a Junior Engineer in 1991. After that he has worked in various senior positions in Chiplun, Guhagar, Khed, Bhiwandi, Mumbai, Pen, Nagpur etc. He has worked as Chief Engineer of Distribution, Commercial, Technical Establishment, Billing and Revenue Departments at the headquarters of Mahavitaran along with Akola Zone. Interestingly, Dr. Murhari Kele has completed his tenure as Director (Technical) in Madhya Pradesh West Zone Electricity Distribution Company as well as Chairman and Managing Director of Electricity Board of Tripura State which is very challenging for power supply.

                    Dr. Murhari Kele, who is a profound scholar of saint literature and a writer, has published books in Marathi and English languages. He has also edited many books. Along with this, he has presented research papers in various national and international conferences mainly related to ‘Smart Meter’ including electricity distribution. Rashtrasant Tukdoji Maharaj University, Nagpur has awarded the degree of ‘Ph.D’. Also, he has acquired educational degrees in the fields of management, law, commerce, regulatory, audit etc. along with engineering. He has about 32 years of experience in electrical field.
