Shri. Dinesh Waghmare, IAS has taken over the charge as Principal Secretary (Energy) w.e.f 01.02.2021. Shri. Dinesh Waghmare will also continue to hold the additional charge of the post of Chairman and Managing Director, Maharashtra State Electricity Transmission Company Limited.

                Shri. Dinesh Waghmare, belongs to 1994 Batch of IAS. Shri. Dinesh Waghmare is B.E. (Electronics) from Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology, (VNIT), Nagpur and also possess the degree in M. Tech from IIT Kharagpur in Computer Science. He has also done M.Sc. in Development & Project Planning, Bradford University, England, UK. He possesses more than 26 years of experience in responsible roles in spheres of Management and Administration.
